Volunteer Houston is hosting a workshop for nonprofit organizations on the topic of
Risk Management, to help provide the wisdom and basic
knowledge of protecting your agency in 2013.
Guest Speaker: Kaycie Berley, Care Providers Services.
The topics to be covered are important for any nonprofit organization and will specifically be helpful for those agencies that are 1-5 years old:
- What coverage is required to protect your agency and members?
- Serving the Vulnerable Client. Who is “vulnerable”?
- Before you plan-Special Events/Fundraisers.
- Best Practices for Volunteers. Release forms, applications, waivers, working with minors and volunteer background checks.
